Its 6am
Im inspired and ready to have no regards for grammar or any writing mistakes whatsoever
The Drimare originally picked up the many languages from the humans, mixing them up with their own terms and languages
While most of the languages come from humans, there are a few Drimare languages, some regional and others are exclusive to certain species
Drimare Languages[]
Drimareun[]
The Drimareun is a discreet language, the nature of how it works being rather difficult to explain.
It is spoken by nearly all Drimare, but it's true nature can only be noticed by a human dreamer. The way it works is that the Drimareun will always sound like the closest to the language of the human seeing them.
While the Drimare are writen here as speaking English, that's just what the Drimareun sounds to an English speaking dreamer.
If a Spanish or a French dreamer were to meet the same Drimare, they would sound like their respective languages.
So the Drimareun works more like a strange dream filter rather its own language.
The Drimare themselves hear and speak the unfiltered Drimareun, best described by those videos of "What x language sounds like for non-speakers" with words sounding almost familiar but hard to pick apart.
Writing functions the same way, with the human's incapability of reading in their dreams, the writing just appears as jumbled and non-sensical to the human eye with letters appearing to change and move.
Most Drimare are actually unaware of the translating feature of the Drimareun language since Human dreamers don't really come by anymore.
Now to figure out why/how some of them have human language accents and others don't
I can't have Finn not sounding extremely scotish nor Dante not being latino
Is that just its own language which the drimareun interprets as those languages?
Fae Language[]
Spoken a lot in Amaranth, mostly by the fae drimare and sorcerers
You know those gibberish songs from Coraline? That's what it sounds like
Snake Language[]
Sounds like parseltongue
Spoken by naga and snake drimare
Malice inherited this language when he became a reaper so maybe actual snake animals also speak it and are able to communicate?
Insect Language[]
Sounds weirdly whispered, not really taught all that much anymore
Hivemind speaks this language
Harpy Language[]
Because bird screeches apparently quality as a language
