Flower Drimare, also known as Flora Drimare, Florals, or simply Flowers, are a common race within Drimare Universe. Their origins are unknown, however, they can be found all over the world, most commonly in forest-like areas such as the Rem Forest and Amaranth.
They're part of the Plant Drimare subspecies group, having many subspecies within themselves, based on different types of flowers.
They are a humble and docile peasant-like folk and have what is usually referred to as a Green Thumb with a very intuitive connection with plants and nature. Their demeanour may vary depending on the kind of flower they are based on.
They seem to have a love/hate relationship with the Insect Drimare, being naturally drawn to each other and even being part of each other's communities while at the same time having very conflicting interests.
Appearance[]
Flower Drimare's main traits are the two flowers on their heads as well as the two lashers on their backs.
Skin[]
Usually in plant-like or earthy tones, even within the same flower species, this may vary a lot.
Yellow, brown and green are some of the most common skin tones, but variants are very common.
Flowers[]
Unlike most Regular Drimare, Flower Drimare do not possess any horns, instead, having two buds on their place with their respective flower.
These buds are part of their bodies and having their petals plucked feels similar to have a hair pulled.
These buds are always closed and will only open to show sexual arousal. Having their buds open is basically the equivalent of having a visible boner and is considered very intimate so they are very sensitive to that.
The state of the flowers also reflects the Drimare's health and hydration. Petals can fall frequently but they also grow just as quick.
Eyes[]
Flower Drimare tend to have very long eyelashes and their faces tend to look very androgynous. The colour of the eyes also follows the colour scheme of the flower they are based on.
Their pupils are round and they have white scleras, though on some occasions, some Flower Drimare are seen to have different coloured scleras, most common being yellow and green.
Ears[]
While being as long as regular Drimare's ears, Flowers have a particular trait where their ears will have a spiked look, most often mimicking the patterns of the leaves associated with their flower. At times the ears might even have a different colour on their tip.
Teeth[]
Being primarily a vegetarian race, Flowers have very straight and normal teeth. More carnivorous species such as flytraps have fangs instead.
Limbs[]
While having no particular traits on their limbs, Flower Drimare often have long claws on their hands and feet.
Neck[]
Similar to certain Animal Drimare, certain Flowers grow a bush-like collar on their necks, consisting of leaves or similar matter. These collars are usually groomed and cut often, becoming oversized if unattended to.
Hair[]
Much like the skin tones, Flower Drimare's hair will follow the colour scheme of their associated flower.
Lashers[]
One of the most recognizable traits of the Flower Drimare are the two vine-like appendages growing from their backs. These vines, more commonly refered to as lashers, are can be used to attack as well as to hold onto things.
Their flexibility varies depending on the type of flower, as well as the individual's personal training. Some Flower Drimare are even able to use their lashers as an extra pair of hands.
The appearance of the lashers varies on the flower, most have simple smooth lashers with a single strong leaf-shaped tip, thorned flowers will have thorns on the lashers, while flytraps have the flytrap mouth on their lasher's tip.
If cut, the lashers will grow back, but it's extremely painful. The lashers tend to grow to become about half of the Drimare's size, but in some cases or particular species, they can get to 3/4 the size or even much longer.
Build[]
Similar to Regular Drimare, they're mostly humanoid in appearance.
Clothing[]
Simple and peasant-like, may vary depending on where they're from.
Although they need to eat as much as regular Drimare, a bit part of their energy comes from sunlight so it's not uncommon for them to wear clothing that doesn't cover their bodies as much.
Life Cycle[]
They are born with no lashers and these will only start growing after about 1 year, the flowers on their heads remain closed until puberty, only growing petals at around that age as well.
Their lifespan is slightly longer than that of the average human, on certain occasions they may even live up to 150 years. They're a very social species and tend to keep to larger groups. Those who are isolated may end up developing social problems later on in their lives.
Origins & Habitat[]
Although not exclusively, Flower Drimare tend to inhabit forest-like areas or any area that is plant-friendly. They tend to have their own plant villages but have no problem mixing in with other Drimare communities such as Insects, Fungi and Trees, the latter being a more reclusive race that tends to keep to themselves.
A notable Plant town is named Toadstool and is located within the forests of Amaranth.
