The Suits are four entities currently in charge of ruling Amaranth, they are spirits who reincarnate over the bodies of regular Drimare in order to rule the four Amaranthian kingdoms. Although their origins are unknown, they've been in charge for as long as Amaranth as existed.
The Suits are based on the symbols present in the decks of playing cards, being Spades ♠, Diamonds ♦, Hearts ♥ and Clubs ♣ and they can take a form or either a king or a queen of said Suit.
They also each have their associated colours, which their kingdoms are named after.

Appearance[]
Although the Suits themselves are essentially spirits without their own physical form, they are known to reincarnate in Drimare bodies, immediately taking their place as the rulers of Amaranth
Their bodies have what is referred to as the Mark of the Suits, which makes it so their pupils are shaped after their respective symbol, with their eye and hair colour matching with the associated colour as well.
They keep the memories of their past reincarnations, the experience is very linear to them.
Spades[]
Spade Noir, the current reincarnation of the Spades Suit
Spades is the eldest and the most powerful of the Suits, however, one wouldn't be able to immediately tell due to Diamonds' more pompous demeanour and leader complex, compared to Spade's quieter and more subtle personality.
Spades always reincarnates as powerful sorcerers and sorceresses, with the blue kingdom being known for being heavily connected to magic, populated by those of similarly magic backgrounds.
The blue kingdom is similar to the yellow kingdom in the sense that it keeps a nature aesthetic to it, with Spades' castle hardly qualifying as a castle at all and more of a hideout in the forest.
Spades is the quiet leader of the Suits as well as the eldest, rumoured to have connections with the goddess Dawn herself. Spades is also the keeper of many evil monsters and spirits which they keep sealed away in the magic caverns spread throughout the kingdom. These are closed off from everyone in order to keep the kingdom safe,
However, every now and then, a spirit or two finds itself released by foolish Drimare who try to venture out into the blocked caverns. Spades does not take kindly to this and will not hesitate to imprison those who endanger the country. However, they can be just as quick to dismiss these cases when the spirit released does not pose as much of a threat.
Diamonds[]
Lancer Karat, the current reincarnation of the Diamonds Suit
Diamonds is the self-proclaimed leader and most powerful of the Suits, despite that spot rightfully belonging to Spades who is significantly stronger. Diamonds is in charge of the Yellow Kingdom of Amaranth, and despite having a riches, vanity and royalty complex, their kingdom is actually quite humble.
The yellow kingdom is known for having its houses built inside its tall orange trees and for being mostly inhabited by all kinds of Insect and Fae Drimare. Diamonds is quite connected with magic as well as the gods, rumoured to have a connection to the Sandman himself.
They're usually very focused on their own kingdom, at times being oblivious to the outside problems.
Hearts[]
Cardiana Heartfelt, the current reincarnation of the Hearts Suit
Before Clubs came along, Hearts was the youngest of the Suits, unlike its siblings, Hearts wasn't gifted in the ways of magic, which in turn, caused them to fall behind its peers.
As such, Hearts became very hardworking, not really resenting its peers, but looking down on those who used magic to put down others who weren't as gifted.
In their reincarnations, Hearts is a serious and down to earth ruler, they are proud and concerned with the safety of their citizens, especially due to the rivalry with the Green Kingdom. Hearts is a skilled warrior, focusing their strength in battles and maintaining a strong army.
While Hearts is a pacifist, they are not one to hold back when they feel threatened. Their relationship with their siblings is quite amicable, with them being closest to Spade. Hearts has a dislike for Clubs, who has threatened their kingdom on various occasions.
While Hearts is not exactly against magic, their kingdom has some strict rules regarding how much magic is allowed.
Clubs[]
Clover Shamrock, the current reincarnation of the Clubs Suit
The youngest of the Suits, Clubs always had trouble keeping up with its more powerful and gifted siblings, being actually created by Spades and Diamonds themselves, in an attempt to better divide the country, but Clubs always seemed a bit... off.
With the exception of Spades, Clubs was often mocked by its siblings, who it grew to resent over time, indulging in plans of overthrowing their kingdoms in order to prove itself to be as powerful as them, reincarnating as obsessive and power-hungry kings and queens.
These plans became more obsessive with time, causing Clubs to make some questionable choices for the Green Kingdom, such as making known criminals as part of their court and sending out assassins and spies into the neighbour kingdoms in order to obtain more information and get back at the other Suits.
Clubs has a quiet respect for Spades, avoiding the attacks on their kingdom.
Life Cycle[]
The Suits are ageless beings, however, their vessels are still mortal and they will live as long as their physical bodies are able to. Once the Suit's current vessel dies, they will reincarnate in a new body.
However, this raises the question of who is in charge of the kingdoms while the Suits are reincarnated and are like... literal babies...? Do they pick who they're born as? Is it within the kingdom? As someone ever tried to manipulate or go against the system? All things I still have to answer to

- Although the current reincarnations of the Suits all happen to be Regular Drimare, it's not uncommon for a Suit to be another race.
- Same applies to gender.
- The Suits use it/they pronouns to refer to themselves, but will often pick gendered pronouns that match with their vessels.
- Cardiana was the first Suit to be designed, back in 2013, previously being only a generic Queen of Hearts character that was originally going to be scrapped.
- Despite being referred to as "Kings" or "Queens", none of the current Suits actually have any partner they rule alongside with.
- It's uncommon for them to experience romantic attraction to others, though it can still happen on rare occasion.
- Despite their vessels having names of their own, the Suits still refer to each other by the name of their symbols.
